syn won't do that...my rd hardly smokes
but i know what you're saying. i bet the euro models would be real fast sellers here. kinda shame

Ancosta; no, that bend isn't supposed to be there. bottle jack time < edit: i just went to look and there is in fact a "curve" there. maybe it's just the angle of the photo. does it seem like any paint been damaged there?, so on second thought, nope not bent! well factory bend.

I'm in Beverly which is about 2 miles away.....I got the battery charger, the dial indicators, and the test light....Just gotta know what the specs are on the timing, and point gaps. You really think I can remember this stuff?
We can go thru the carbs if needed, and if we need injector oil, it's right down the street at cycles 128. If we got stuck rings, pulling the top end off is a snap!
Heat up the head gaskets with a torch, and they are ready to go again!

Lemme know, If you got a pick up truck, toss it in the back, bring it to me (Beverly) and it'll be running before the day is out. (if bearings, and all the important stuff is still intact). Geeez, you'll get to see my TLR all torn apart too!

I'll be around this Saturday, and Sunday, although it looks like rain on sat.
Lemme know...I'll be working on the TLR anyway..

BTW MY dragbike never smoked!

Left brain: Saturday = homework, house chores, spend time with new wife, cook romantic dinner

Right brain: Saturday = take bike out of garage, load into tacoma. Pick up pizza and beer, visit TLRMan and learn about 2-strokes and hear stories of heads-up racing against Kawi 1000's

Seriously, if you are down for Saturday let me know. Even to come by with the bike and have you peek at it, etc. The carbs are off, the previous owner had cleaned them, they need to go on the bike. Needs a battery and I need to pick up some plugs as well. What else should I plan on getting? Just let me know the time, and I'll be there! Just don't tell my wife she's already sick of this bike and I've owned it for about 36 hours

Hey, I never said they were supposed to smoke, I said that you can make them do so -- this is especially true if the mechanic has no idea what he's doing. I remember being really happy when I located a factory shop manual for my A7, then discovering that it was written in an almost impenetrable dialect of "Engrish"...

Yeah ..we called it Jinglish.....The CNC manuals are written like that.

Ran an oil ratio of 40:1 in the dragbike
