Interest in frame sliders, spools.. made in USA?Hey guys, when I bought my frame sliders they were $$$$, but I hear people getting them for a steal lately... usually low quality (one of mine fell off), of plain straight sliders, but I recently made what I think is a little more appealing, unique design. I made them so I could have extras for the track bike... the material and resources aren't cheap, but since I have aspirations to move back to NY and open a machine shop for car and bike parts, it was a really fun experience making them (only took a day). I'm considering making a run of these frame sliders, and if I do, will most likely be making matching spools, and possibly shift knobs (for cars) (get a nice piece that wont burn you in the summer!). I only want to deal with delrin now due to literally zero tool wear. Keep in mind that this wouldn't be a mass produced part, so they would be a limited part, made in USA, but that makes them more expensive to make than a turn key operation in Taiwan. Just wondering who would be interested in sliders or spools... if it gets enough interest, I'll see if I can get them out at a fair price. ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Interest in frame sliders, spools.. made in USA?Do you have metal inserts in them? Most sliders do becuase they become an integral part of a motor mount. I would be interested in axle sliders for my Supermoto, but they would onlky need to be ~3/4's the length of a frame slider.. That could be a lucrative market for you. |

Interest in frame sliders, spools.. made in USA?That would be sweet. My baby is too clean to get scratched up from a drop, and being in sales I could return the favor by pitching them to everyone I ride with. Im also willing to pay for them too, so just let me know. |

Interest in frame sliders, spools.. made in USA?they look kind of long, for sliders to not do more damage than good they can only be a certain length. TRUST me i know all TO well |

Also had ShoGUN sliders, that were 3.25" long... These are 3". Sizes can be altered if there's enough need... but any shorter, and they arn't going to cover the bodywork. I am leaning against off-set sliders due to the breaking issues they sometimes have. 1.75" DIA x 3" long... stout little shape. |

Interest in frame sliders, spools.. made in USA?the real purpose of the slider is to keep the engine intact. if they become to long the will snap the frame off where they are mounted. if you are only going to protect the body work you better make sure that you don't put the bike down over 10mph I'm not trying to be a jerk, just trying to help |

Interest in frame sliders, spools.. made in USA?I think my current sliders which are 100% delrin are about 3" or so... I belive they're protek. It's been a while since I installed them but I don't think they have any metal inserts. However... on the 7R the bolts are frigging huge... they seem to be a much larger diameter for everything than most bikes. For example... while most swingarm spools take a 6 or 8 mm bolt the 7R are 12mm. Yours look good, but if you think you can go with one size fits all, then you'll have to re-think that. |

Interest in frame sliders, spools.. made in USA?I have OES sliders. they are 100% delrin. You should buy a set and reverse engineer them so you can see how they are made. |

No sir. I'd be looking to give a set away to the guy who let me use his bike to fit them. So far, they have been used on 2002 GSXR1000, 2003 GSXR600, and 2001 ZX6R. |

Interest in frame sliders, spools.. made in USA?you should make some fork silders like these Motovation Fork Sliders and Accessories I already have a set but I wouldn't mind having some replacements if they fit the axle insert. |
