hey all track guys and perf tire guys

hey,

on all my other bieks ive run either dunlops or metzlers (m1 sport tech) a buddy of mine has some perellie(spelling?¿) corsa's and said he loves em, my question is whats your experience with them, my triumph has 2k on is so the bridgstons are perfect and the guy barley rode them on the edge so they are like new, i was thinking bout getting some corsas or some other softer tire for the summer days of asphault surfing... mostlikly gonna get them from American Motorcycle Tire - Motorcycle Tires from Dunlop, Metzeler, Bridgestone, and More ... (i think thats it :/) they had a great deal for my buddies f4i on metzlers.

thanks duffy

I've had Dunlop 207's (sucked), metzler sportec M1's (pretty good, but don't like a ton of heat), Michelin Pilot Powers (love em), and now Pirelli Supercorsas (DOT legal race tire)

From personal experience, I can honestly highly recommend the pilot powers for fun street & track day riding. The M1's were great & wore quite well, but began to get a LITTLE greasy when my speed picked up to a good blue group track day pace at NHIS (alot of knee dragging cornerspeeds). The supercorsas are just plain overkill for the average track day & street rider, but I love em on the track where they spend most of thir time. I'd imagine the regular corsas would be on par with the powers as far as grip & tire life go, just a different feel I'm guessing.

There's really not alot of bad choices out there for tires. Just choose the tire that made for where you do most of your riding & you'll be happy.

The Diablo Corsas are a great tire. I've run a few sets of them and don't have any complaints except that they aren't the longest lasting tire. I got 3-3.5K out of them but probably should have changed them sooner. They heat up fast, stick in the cold, and give very good feedback.

I've got a set of the corsas I can't wait to put on. Never used anything but Dunlop. Hope I like the Pirelli's.
