Street Pant recommendations???

I've known for awhile that I need some street pants. Now is the time to buy.
I'm looking for textile pants with CE protection, and maybe vents. This is one pair I had in mind. What do you guys think?

Got these a few weeks ago. Love 'em. Excellent build quality. Knee pads are height adjustable. Waterproof. Removeable liner.

I got the alter ego, and can't imagine anything being better. Comfortbale, adjustable knee pads, and completely changable to fit the weather, I love them.

Whatever you decide, you probably want to go with the "tall" size. Even though a lot of them have pre-bent knees they still ride up when you're on a bike.

I currently have the Moto GP GP overpant (I think that is what they're called). They are comfy and are reasonably flowing on hot days. They were also under $100 from NE. I like them so far...

If you want to forgo a little protection, the joe rocket phoenix pants are VERY nice on hot days; air passes right through.

Tour Master Cortech HRX Pant - Motorcycle Superstore

I have these although i wasn't wearing them Sat. I think for the price and the comfort these are a good deal. There like three pairs of pants in one. You can get them cheaper at I motorcyclestore.

I liked the Icons that Cheese and Pat had on Sat too.

Cheese is right choose the ones you like. If you can find some places that carry them try some on and see how they feel.

I have to say i like those Joe Rocket Alter Egos.

I have the Alter Egos. I don't have any real beef with them. They're technically overpants, so I can wear them to work and just yank them off when I get here. When it gets hot that vent really does a ton of good. I just wish they were a little longer. Even at 5'11 on my SV, they sometimes ride up over the top of my boot and I have to fight with them to get them back down (must look crazy when I do it on the highway).

I just ordered the Fieldsheer Booster pants for commuting into the city when wearing the leather pants just isn't an option. Like the ones Steve suggested, they have a removable lines and can fit over most jeans and khakis.

I wear the Alpinestars Street Cargo Pant - Motorcycle Superstore, not sure if you notice from the 5/12 ride. very comfty, I had them in mid-80 days and they were fine, not too hot.

I also use them as over pants in the morning (6am ~ 40C), on top of my jeans.

Only thing I can say is that the knee protection is some thin hard plastic, I think others are mostly soft padded armor.

I've got some First Gear ventilated over pants, they are good in the warm weather and good in the cold till about 30 degrees F, padding in the knees and hips.
