All right so I found a bike that im pretty interested in buying, 03 SV650s has 10,300miles on it. Is that too much? besides that it looks like a pretty clean bike, what do you think?

Then again, RandyO's SV only lasted 113k before it needed valve work.....

your only 22,000 off ........ 135k


10k is not high milage for a modern bike, it's not even high milage for a 4 year old bike

10k is below average milage for that year, average milage 4k/yr x 4 yrs = 16k

If it's that clean it's been taken care of - 10k miles is nothing. If it was dented, scratched, and covered with dirt and grease I'd be concerned.

good deal.

in fact, that's sort of low. i would rather buy a bike that someone rode all the time and did regular maintenance than a garage queen with rust in the tank from not being topped up and varnish in the carbs (assuming it has carbs).

Tomorrow is when I go to see it and if i like and have a truck to haul it back from NH i just might have my first bike by 6pm thursday Hell YA

He means the first year SV's had Fuel Injection was 2003 ... aka the second gen.

As RandyO said, he had 130,000+ miles on his when he replaced it. To put it into perspective, Randy's gotta run close to 280lbs and rides year 'round...
