Free 8 week old english bulldog

Maybe. I got a call from a friend who's dog just had babies that are ready to be given away. I was told its vet checked and has had its shots. I'm not sure if its male or female, spayed or neutered. I just got the voice mail. The reason why I say maybe is because I really want this dog, but I already have a dog whos 9 years old and I'm not sure how well it may get along with a new pup (may get jealous). I wouldn't want it to not work out and then the bulldog without a good home. So if it were not to work out would anyone have a good home for him or her?

Hmm...are you saying the owner of the pups wouldn't be willing to take him/her back if it was not to work out?? Why are they GIVING them away?

Why is this in general bike related section...

Well I wouldn't want to tell the owner's I'll give it a good home to find out that I don't, then they would have to go through the process of lining up a new owner and making sure its a good home and everything.
This could be bike related if you were to name him sprocket, or motard or something.

I have a good friend, and mine is real, who is looking for a english bulldog. He's in Ohio so, i'll take the 3rd spot on the list if you can't find it a good home but I'll bet your 9 year will be just fine with the pup. - Paige

Thanks everyone, I hope my dog will get along with him just fine. As I said its still only a possibility of me getting the dog I still need to meet the pup and make sure everything is good to go. But now that I know if I do take it and it dosn't work out enoguh of you have my back to find this puppy a good home. I'll keep you all updated on the status and see where we go from here.

Well if this is your friend's dog like you say, and it doesn't work out and you give him away, he'll eventually find out anyway. My ex neighbor in Springfield has one, completly white, he is so awsome and so lovable. I hope it works out for you and your older dog, english bulldogs seem to be awsome dogs.

OH don't think I'm trying to do this behind my friends back. The extra dogs as this point seem to be a burden for him (space wise). He kept them with the mom until they were old enough to be adopted and has only this one left. I wouldn't want to take it then burden him again by giving it back. As long as he is in a good home where he'll be taken care of whether it be with me or one of you guys my friend is happy.

I'll keep an eye open. Might even ask my neighbor if he'd like to have another one, I thought he said he'd like to adopt a second to keep company to his big fat pup. (that is...if it doesn't work out, and if no one here wants to take him in)

I am VERY interested. If you still need a home, I will definitely take him/her.. My fiance, son, and I are actively looking to rescue/adopt a pup.. i refuse to buy a puppy from a pet store..there are plenty of good dogs that need a home.. I have a yard, also my mother lives in my In-law and watches my son every day so the dog will very rarely be alone.. Also I have a HUGE park about 100 yards from my house.. VisitRhodeIsland.com :: Attractions :: Slater Memorial Park

let me know

thanks

Thanks for the response everyone, but I spoke to my friend and he had one other person wanting it. I decided it probably wouldn't be best to risk it with my dog and let the offer go. However if his dog ever gets knocked up again when hes not expecting it I'll let you know.

Is that how it happens the first time?

Yep, he said that he was over a friends house whose dog is half bulldog and half something else. His dog is pure breed, so the puppy looks more bulldog then anything. He said he saw the other dog mount her, but "quickly" ran over to intervene. I guess he wasn't quick enough.
