good camera angle for lean picture or video?

How do you guys get these outstanding avatar photos of yourself in a lean?

I tried putting the camera on the outside, and on the inside of a turn, and still can't get a good shot.

Sometimes you find a section in the Catskills worth repeating with a photographer in the corner (w/full bags)

Killboy might see you riding the tail of the dragon

or you'll get photo'd at the track

That's the easy part. The hard part is actually leanin' the bike over .... well, for me it is anyway.

ok ricky racer, hanging off may be best form on track, but looks stupid on street, tipping shoulder in is good street form

Disagree completely. Stiffarming the bars like that is asking for a lowside no matter where you're riding.

i'd say your leaning that fizzer over far enough for a nice shot! and +1 for leaning off a little bit, 'twill make for a safer street ride and works for me.....

it doesnt hurt to have a good camera either. if all else fails, just use photoshop.

Hah, Ricky Racer? .... okaaaay....... Street..... Skeeter

Hanging off on the street may look stupid to you, but at that lean angle, the postition he's in looks alot worse to me than hanging off & using proper form. Plus it's by far the safer way around. That form, at that lean angle doesn't look safe. I'd much rather say "hey... that doesn't look safe, here's how to fix it & get some sweet pics to boot" than read a post saying he lost it & got hurt.

Now I don't mean to pick him apart, but like Darrell said, it looks like he's stiff-arming the suspension. His elbows may be bent, but tucked in like that you don't really have good feel. He's also using up alot of the tire surface & he's not helping the bike turn w/ his body weight. That means more countersteering is needed which increases the pressure on the front end.

At that lean angle without using any body position, he has nearly nothing left if he has to change his line.

Most shots we have are from Deal's, Loudon or similar. Hard to get that much lean safely (somewhat) anywhere else.

this is the sort of shot I'm looking for

I like oreogabrio's idea of hitting the track, but while it started off as a goal for August, unforseen expenses made it unrealistic.

track it is...for street I'll keep her upright
