When the adjuster comes by for the insurance company have the helmet, jacket, gloves, tank bags, and anything else that took damage laying on the bike. If you bought them recently - have the reciepts (get copies from the place you bought them if you have to)

Good luck...
Unfortunately, Mass insurance is nasty when it comes to gear or other accessories, I'd need to claim them under homeowners/renters insurance if I had it. They're gonna make me an offer on the chin fairing that the stupid wrecker driver scratched to hell, but that's as far as they'll cover.

That's awesome, especially about the leathers. Are you going to get the same bike again?

Think of it this way, you have an experience not all riders have experienced and your now a better rider from it. I fell once and the mistake I made was I wasn't paying attention to the gravel on the road. I lowsided so fast I can't remember the point from when I was turning to the point where I was on the ground sliding. It was so fast as if I was on ice. You will never forget your mistake when you crash, think of it as wisdom you have gained.

I experienced the pleasure of stuffing a minty mint R6 beneath a guardrail last spring, with 4xx miles on it. The only thing I learned from that experience was that if you manage to buy the bike back from the insurance company before it gets to a salvage yard, it's still got a clean title.

Worked for me? I passed the "clean" title on to the new owner. Who subsequently got a new, clean title for it.
