Lightning Lithium Superbike: No Emissions (TreeHugger)
Looks like a step in the right direction!
-S
not bad, says the top speed is 100
all it needs now is more fairing and i sprocket that doesn't look like a pizza pan. oh yeah and a range of more than 75-100 miles. which would probably be less when ridden hard![]()
~ Life passes most people by while they're busy making grand plans for it.~
I agree with all those points. As I said though, it's a good start.
fuck, I'd take it back and fourth to work
does it still sting your toung if you lick it?

I'd hit it
But, but... I thought loud pipes save lives! That's going to be a dangerous bike to be on! Silent and all... (/sarcasm)
I wonder why they decided on the gigantic sprocket... Weight distribution? Seems like the engine would need to work might hard to get the sprockets turning.
All those yellow bricks are kinda ugly too... actually, really ugly.
But it's just a protoype... I'm sure if they kept working at it, they can make a pretty nice lookin' bike. (Just like the Tesla car is a sweet lookin' electric car...)
but with the electric there is no gear change, so the pizza sprocket gives you a chance to build up speed without flipping the thing over..... all the torque is at you finger tips from the get go..... or not

For every action there is an equal but opposite reaction - and sometimes a scar...
A vast amount of sportbikes can't be expected to go more than 100 miles between a fillup so I can't see the reason for the complaint.
(cept it takes longer to fill up a LiPo than a gas tank)

What the hell are you talking about?A vast amount of sportbikes can't be expected to go more than 100 miles between a fillup so I can't see the reason for the complaint

2007 Husky SMR 510 - no longer... blown tranny
Very cool concept bike - I am sure they could design a new fairing to cover up the batteries
that's a good idea since a lot of people don't ride unless it is sunny.
I am pretty sure that there is no where near enough surface area to put enough panels to make any difference at all. Not to mention the increase in cost.

I'd like to see the power curve and then take it to the track. With 0 displacement that could race in almost any class huh?
It's all water under the bridge, and we do enter the next round-robin. Am I wrong?
ghey... we're going to be riding around on go-peds to save the emissions?
If all motorcycles were electric, the savings would be equivalent to the emissions of one city's bus system.
I don't think big manufacturers have a need to get that interested in this type of thing, which without the major funding will make it impossible to come close to any comparable performance.
Electric cars on the other hand, are performing pretty well on the prototype budget.
I just traded in my Suzuki for a brand new Vespa
Remember the riddle
Where does a hole go when you fill it up ???
The answer " Over there"
Zero emissions except for whatever the power generator is doing less line losses. So unless its charged by hydro ar wind its dumb

Now i like this one, but crap, it's a car
