This wednesday is going on week two of the order. Says on the website its awaiting fufillment.

I sent them an email last thursday and they said they're waiting on a part from California.

Anyone else have problems like this?

Not really a problem but agggravation. By the way the title is in hand so I need these parts and the bikes on the road

That means they don't have it and they are going to probably have it dropshipped direct from their supplier. Good luck

Thats the price of owning a Jap Bike and buying stuff online, you other choice is to order from the dealer and pay twice as much and wait 3-4 weeks.. Or you can buy a Harley, or other American made bike..

I've had orders for simple items take 3 weeks to be delivered.

So, now I order from either servicehonda.com (sorry, Honda parts only) or zanottimotor.com (sorry, only honda, yamaha, and harley parts only)

Both are less expensive and faster in shipping than ron ayers.

It's a good habit to call before placing the order online, just to make sure it's in stock & not backordered. Usually if something IS backordered, you'll get the same timeframe from other online vendors.

it's pretty ghey that most of them dont tell you it's backordered online, until you've already paid & get the shipping confirmation... saying they cant ship it

thats why i buy from the dealer........oh shit wait i WORK at the dealer

Here's the problem with OE companies though, there is no way for us to tell if a part is on B/O until the order is placed with them, sometimes they don't us the dealer until the next shipment arrives. AND orders placed with kawi/suzu/yam/duc/triumph etc are order at one time usually, i.e. suzuki requires orders to be processed before 2pm EST. So its sometimes difficult to always check stock with OE factories to see if a particular part is in-stock.

Next time order from bettencourt's. Pay about 15% more and get your parts in 3-5 days if they are special order and pay no shipping.

I have ordered many parts from ronayers and the average wait is about 11 days.

derek

So far Ronayers:Yes
BikeBandit:NO
Past five orders of five with RonAyes Awesome!
Past three orders of five with BikeBandit have gone horrible. Don't plan on placing a sixth order..

OEM Stuff gets painted by suzuki, there's very small chance ever that it does not match.

I likED bettencourts a lot.

though I havent gotten any parts there in a long time b/c of one hellish ordeal when the kid behind the parts counter was a dumbass. took me about 45 minutes just to order a oil filter & o-ring. first he placed an order for an AIR filter & rang me up. I'm wondering what OEM oil filter costs like 30 bucks. Then he finally ordered me an OEM oil filter, which he found in stock after 10 minutes, but came back telling me they dont stock o-rings(?!!?!?!?!!?!) & it would take 5-6 days to get it!! at that point I said screw it.

end of that rant.

then there was that time last season trying to get quoted for a tire mount & balance that I ranted about here before... oh that really got me heated & I havent been back since.

though my inspection did go really smooth a few years ago... when my bike was completly stock. I'll give 'em that...

I've been getting everything online since because I like to pretend I know what I'm doing. Though I am gonna be going down there to get a battery in a few weeks... only because I've got a gift certificate... (I live like an hour & 15 minutes away now)
