Speaking of gearing up

My new suit came in the mail today. Its the Olympia Phantom that Ducdave recomended to me. Quality is awesome, fit is perfect and this thing is gonne be warm in the fall with the liner in. I like it a lot. Here is the link:

https://www.motoliberty.com/prod_detail.asp?Prod_ID=427

Came to 458 with the shipping which seems like a hell of a deal. So can you see me now?

"Can you see me now?"

No where are you? :-)
Looks like its hot in that though no?
Have lots of vents?
I like the Hi Viz yellow though. I have a rain jacket that's that color
that I throw on over my gear when its raining and dark.

There is full length vents on each arm and Vents on the back. Dave says its ventalated very good. I havent tried it yet. There is a larger waterproof pocket in the back, the padding is nice and thick. I am impressed with how this is made. Its supposed to be waterproof too.

Hey Bruce, 1989 called. They want their snow suit back

Seriously though, looks like a good quality suit. Now you just need an FJR

Who needs an FJR when you got soft bags for the RC51. I am taking it up to Canada next month on 1500+ mile trip. This suit was mainly for that trip but also for riding to work and stuff. My touring bike eventually will be a BMW most likely.

I tried on the gray version of that last week. It fit very well, and felt like it would be fantastic for touring (at least in cooler weather).

A guy on ADVRider sat in the shower with that suit on for 15 minutes and said he didn't get even a single drop on him. Pretty amazing!

Let us know how it does in this weather? I've heard the venting system works well...

If I can get myself to part with the BMW car, a BMW motorcycle will take its place.

Nice.
Ive been sporting a Stich hi-vis Roadcrafter for some time, and can unequivocally say it makes a big difference.

I have worn mine on a couple of those hot days we had a couple weeks ago. Yeah...remember? Seems like summer was just teasing...global warming indeed!

My impression is with the vents open it will be fine but I will probably wear lightweight underarmor on my long trips. Just like with leathers, they help slide the suit on and off more easily. The inner liner is a smooth polyester material that will probably get sticky if you sweat.

The arm, chest and back vents work well but I haven't found a way to vent the legs so that may be a weak point.

However, for a one piece does it all cover the distance all day riding all weather riding floorwax toothpaste piece of gear its pretty freekin' awesome.

(...my opinion...not to be confused with fact...)

That's good to hear. I have read from a few people that the suit does suffer from sweaty-leg syndrome due to the lack of leg vents. Such as life I guess.

Now I have to decide between this or 2 piece leathers...

Yeah I usually head away from Whitinsville when I ride. Not too exciting in this big city.
