I have seen threads all over the internet now where everyone who crashed on a trackday in the last 2 months is blaming the Michelins. I don't buy it. I have over 300 hard trackday miles on my 2CT french made Michelins and not a problem.
People are jumping on the bandwagon because Michelin have done the right thing by recalling the tires because of a problem they have found. No-one has brought up the fact that you can have a total instant deflation on a modern sport motorcycle tire and still ride to a stop. Hell, you can ride on the carcass alone if the tread comes off completely. All the delaminations I have seen online so far have resulted in a controlled stop.
All I'm saying is don't get sucked in by the hype just yet.
