I'm now officially a Metro-West MassHole

So, today is the day that i became a MassHole.

I just moved to Westborough, MA about 15 mins from Worcester (Woosta). I have ridden with John (02Telefonica) but not sure about who else lives in the area.

I don't know a lot of the roads yet but am very eager to get out and check them out.

Shoot me a PM or post if you want to get out and ride. I will def be out tomorow

You're really not far from the Berkshires. I'm telling you....you should come and ride around here, the roads are real nice, beautiful scenery and very curvy.

blasphemy! I'm about 5 mins from you and there's NO WAY I consider myself a western MA hick.

plus, there aren't many good roads within a 20-30 min ride...when are you free? I'll show you a semi local route I do when I'm bored

I work on Rt9 in Westboro and I live in Hopkinton, until the second week of August at least. I know of some fun roads in the Dover area.

Welcome to Westboro. Nice town - grew up/lived there for 25 years.

For good roads ya gotta head west a bit...roads get better just past Worcester. Connecticut has some nice roads too.

One nice spin out from Westboro -> Get on Lyman St, head north up a couple back roads thru Northboro, cross 290 & hit the rotary going into Berlin. Take South st. off the rotary. At end of South St take left on 62W, then 70N. Then left onto 110 -> 140 -> back to 70 makes a loop around the Wachusett res. Not a bad local ride.

[edit] - See that you're near Chauncy...so you're right on Lyman.

the beans is like 30 mins away (if slab) and it has some nice road.

I work on 9 in Southborough... sounds like you're right next to my gym.

My beef with 140 heading west past 190 is the low low speed limit and heavy patrolling. If you want to have any fun you have to get off the beaten path a bit.

Big difference between Metro West (area just west of Boston, usually considered between 128/95 and 495) and Western MA (everywhere west of Worcester, where they don't count, at least to Beacon Hill)

I hope you weren't the idiot I saw getting on the Pike at 495. Rider had a black & white Gixxer and was wearing shorts and construction boots.

Did you go to Westborough Public? If so you probably know my g/f and her family. They have lived there for over 25 years.

Where in MA are you now?

I wear a yellow helmet that looks terrible with the colors of my bike, but Oh well. Black jacket with white stripes. Pretty squidly gear setup but

I commute from 6-7 am and home form 3:30-4:30

Down route 9, then back roads from westboro over to 27 through ashland. Go to the ashland golds some days. I live at the intersection of 27 and 109. I could take 109 to 495 and it would be faster, but the highway sucks.

I pretty much live at the Rt 9 / Temple street intersection in Framingham and commute mostly in my truck. 9-Pike-495 to 109 Medway. Lame... Sometime I'll take the Duke or the RC, but it's a rare occation.

I may only be here a little while longer if my plan works in my favor, but I'll still be local.

I am always up for afternoon rides, I know a lot of the back roads around here! Tomorrow id out though. The dentist is going to rip out part of my gums and find the rest of the tooth I broke off..
