Everyone OK from todays Trackday?

It feels funny not knowing...

Anyone talk to anyone that did today's trackday? Everyone's OK I hope?

The weather must have been perfect.

Haven't heard anything yet. Amanda's using my leathers though, so I should know soon how it went. Looks like the weather was perfect.

I don't know if anyone went down... I'm just asking if everyone is OK because I know that SOMETIMES people tip over at trackdays.

I had a pretty good day. The weather was perfect and the new suspension on the Aprilia was awesome. Unfortunately I continued my streak of bad luck and the Aprilia is back at Seacoast for service. It sounds like there is a bolt rattling around in the engine. They are known to have problems with the flywheels/stators needing to be retorqued so it may be related to that. I can only hope to have it back for the 23/24.

There were a few crashes but nothing serious while I was there.

See you next week.

-Mike

Yeah the bike problems are definitely getting a little old. The Aprilia has never been quite right. Hopefully Jesse can get it right for me. Good thing I brought old reliable the cr500.

well I went down in the last session, but I am fine.
A rider went down in front of me in the bowl,
She was pretty low in the bowl and slide across my line, I was going to fast to dive in to the inside of the bowl, and I tryed to avoid it but after locking up the brakes on the yz I low sided.

Glad you came out OK.

The bowl is a tough place to avoid someone that goes down... the steep angle messes with normal "trajectories"

That sucks Liz. At least it was the last session and you are ok. How is the other rider and the yz?

I think the cr is an '01 service honda le. When I got it it had hardly been ridden. I have had it for two years or so, and ridden it a bunch. It is a lot of fun and it has taught me a lot about trail braking. You are more than welcome to take it for a rip next week.

Yeah, I'd like to try it. I'm not big on Motards in general, but a 2stroker I can't pass up.

That sucks that you went down. Almost the same thing happened to me last track day. I had a rider go down in front of me in the bowl but I was lucky enough that he slide outside of my line and I made it through. If you need a hand getting your bike back together let me know

Anytime James, I can't wait to ride the thing with all the new mods. After seeing all the motards today blowing by me in the corners makes me wanna ride the damm bike NOW. It must be done right, cause I didn't see you at the track today. Hows it coming along?

I had a friggin blast on my first track day! me and the bike are in one piece, can't believe it the old lady almost made it thru the whole day. Instructors were great and learned a ton - the guy in the stunt show was like something I never seen before.

I wish it was done for you now. I didnt even finish what I needed to for today. I got a lot of it done but a few glitches here and there slowed me down. With any luck I should have your bike all broken down, cleaned up and ready for a revalve by the weekend unless Pete comes back with something crazy to do. After that its up to Pete to do the revalve since hes the master and then Ill toss it back together

No prob, pete told me it may take a few weeks. Take ur time James I don't want parts flying off the bike when I take it to the track.

Same here - the bike will be fine, I dropped it off at friends shop on way home and I'm letting him drill out the snapped exhaust studs. To be honest anything less than grenading the engine today (and crashing) was fine with me. I'm glad no one was hurt when my bike decided to quickly part ways with the rear shock inspection plate in the garage.

I payed for the rev limiter and dammit I'm going to use it!!
