Same company, different brands -- I believe Pirelli purchased controlling interest some years ago to bolster their market share against Michelin.

I suspect the M3 shares much with the Diablo Corsa III

After experiencing a dangerous Sportec blem and the local rep not taking care of it, my money will not go into Metzeler's till.

Pirelli wanted access to Metzeler manufacturing technology. Instead of trying to develop it on their own, it was cheaper to buy into the company.

Its about even because there is not much of a price difference between m3 and diablows anyway.

Being Cheap best deals...

Bridgestone 240
Dunlop, Michelin 260
Metzler 290

so far the gixer eats a rear every about 2700 miles
fronts 4500. The Metzlers M3 allude to a 30 percent increase in tire life
but its probably BS... goto to love the website.

The Pilot Powers have excellent wear resistance, if longevity between tire changes is a primary concern. I do find their carcass to be uncomfortably stiff on some of the rougher road surfaces in our area, otherwise they kick ass.

Rich, you get that thing on the track yet?

No track for me I am a pussy

Really am a pessimist so I know I would be down and chew up 2K of plastic and burn my leathers.

also sensed a vibration at 125 so being calm till these tires gone <115

Found an ebay metzler deal for 250 on ebay... suspicious ebay but leaning that way
