gotcha! not me. a guy i know got pulled over for speeding 85 on rt3. i just wanna verify something for him. it was written down clock/estimate. i think it means he match his cruiser speed.

rest of the story: he was just cruising with the traffic flow at that speed but he did pass couple cars merging onto the highway. when he got lit up a mile later said the cocksucker almost ran him off the breakdown lane. his cruiser came up within inches to the side of the bike and yelling and cursing while he was trying to put the stand down and park the bike. son of a bitch.

Clock/estimate can mean two things. Clocking is matching the cruiser speed to the vehicle in questions speed. Police officers are taught to estimate/guestimate speed of vehicles that we don't clock. This kind of reading is considered accurate in the courts. It's checked on the same box on the ticket. Coming from a previous Patrolman for a Massachusetts police department have your friend fight the ticket. Estimating is very easily challeneged in court and also what is the prior driving history for the rider if you know it.

If you ride that road every day you should know that the cops sit in the median between the north and southbound lanes all the time. I pass by them all the time too and I can assure you, it's not just sexy red bikes they have pulled over. They're getting mostly cagers on those roads.

Just an FYI...I ride that road every day from NH down, and it is not only the marked cars in the median that you have to be aware of....
They have been using unmarked cars as well,
so far have seen they are using Explorers, Taurus, F150, Impalas, Intrepids, Chargers, and even Escapes.
Even if you are not speeding they are pullng over for BS calls.
They stopped me and cited me for window tinting that was .4 below the legal limit......
would not have been so bad but I was following a Mercedes with Limo tint, so just had to laugh it off.
