Gas Milage on liter bikes

I average right around 40mpg with my ZX14, and start looking for a gas station at around 180-200 miles.

My ZZR1200 does better, averaging around 45mpg with a 1/2 gallon more capacity.

i've got a 929 also. It all depends how you ride the engine, too high or too low in the RPMs will burn more gas. I run mine high, reserve light at 110-120 I can get 150-160 before going completely dry. I think the reserve light is 1 gallon or .9 gallons.

Most of the sporty big V-Twins I hear of are pigs. The most I ever got on a tank with my old Superchicken was about 120 miles, and as low as 100 or so...

The TL-R's got big honkin' trottle bodies (yes, I said trottle), 48mm I believe - similar to the RC51. We've got mine set so ALL trottle bodies (yes, I said trottle) are pumping at all RPM's, rather than only above 6K RPM'S...

My TL-R seems to be right on par with most TL-R's out there as well as most RC51's I hear of...

I could give a shit either way, honestly. I just couldn't care. I don't shop for nor modify motorcyles based on mileage. I do it based on SMILES per gallon...

I ride 100+ miles per day and want to avoid a fill-up every day, so 200+ miles on a tank is a must-have for me.

I hear ya. When I ride to work, I gotta fill up either on the way in or the way home. But that thing just plain ol' puts a big ol' smile on my face eiher way. So I gotta spend 7 minutes at the pump. I'll live...

You're tellin' me you get about 150 miles before your light starts blinking? You sure about that math?
You ever see how much gas actually goes in tho? When my light starts blinking, it only takes 3 gal to top it off. I ran it dry once and it only took about 3.75 gals. Its a 17 liter / 4.5 gal tank.

I'm at 110 or 120 miles when the light starts going off. I don't push it much farther than that. Works to ~40mpg. Thats not really flogging it though.

it's 4.5 or 4.7, I've run out at just over 150.. so your about safe till 135 or so.. And no my light comes on around 100 give or take 10...

My 929 just tapped 49+ MPG...
That would be 200mi at light on. There should be another .9 gallons left

Strictly highway commuting.

It is called PCIIIr that does the trick.

A little from here a little more from there and presto.
