I'm sure this is some kind of internet faux-pas, but I was reading through this thread over on advrider, and I thought some of you might enjoy it as well.

Your daughters must think its awesome that you ride. My Mom could barely handle a minivan.

My minivan won many a street race!!

And my daughters don't think anything of it. Thats all they ever knew. My oldest won't have anything to do with it, I had bought her an EX250 but she would not have it.

One day with my kids in the car we saw a woman driving a big ol' diesel dual pick up and my son made a comment about a girl driving. I asked him a few questions and finally led up to "How many of your friends have mom's that ride motorcycles?" and "How many of your friends or teammates ever showed up at practice on the back of their mom's bike?"....boy did that really make them think for a minute before they even realized.....

You may have seen my whole family at the last three Tony's track days. 17 yo Jeannine and my wife are both riders. We've been taking family motorcycle trips together since jeannine was 7 yo. LAst year was our first trip with three bikes. We're heading down to VIR for the AMA races then camping on the BRP in a few weeks.
Photos of past trips are here:

The pic below is Caroline ahead of Jeannine at a track day last year.

If you feel like getting dirty, there're quite a bit of Parent-Child (Nervous Novice) events hosted by NETRA clubs. It's gotten to the point now for many that this is the only way for a kid to be able to get out and ride.
