I gotta tell ya, when I first started seeing the 999 and 749 models I really thought they were ugly as hell. I think BC I was used to the single sided swing arm and also that was the reason I fell in love with Dukes to begin with....( I still remember seeing my first 916 back in 1995, I was on an FZR 1000 and that Duc pulled up next to me...it was love at first sight and I wanted to throw my FZR away.....ahhhh...shweeeet!!). Now, the more I look at those model bikes the more I'm starting to really like them. You can also pick them up on discount thanks in part to the high demand for the 1098's. I was in dunbars 2 weeks ago getting oil and a filter and they had the 999's and 748's marked down almost 4k on a few of em. They also had a kickass Aprilla 2005 (I think that year) in there, damn that was a nice looking bike.

Yeah I'm sure alot of 749/999 owners are upset on how much the value of their bikes dropped because of the 1098...buts thats how it goes.

In regards to the aprilia rsv....I LOVE THAT bike (sound badass too)! The 1098 and the RSV are the only bikes that would get me to get rid of my R1. By the way, in riding with you yesterday I'm starting to like how ducati's start-up...kinda sounds like its struggling, than a lil jingle, and finally the grunt of the v-twin engine coming to life.

Joe C's bike from California is my personal fave.

I'm hanging on to my 999. There is a little resurgence forecast in the used value of the **9 series.

I like the paint on Brad from SD. It's unique. A silver 1098 must really turn heads.

I have to go with Thierry on this one, that dark 749 takes it.
