According to the people that know those guys, it really was a stoppie gone wrong, and not staged at all. Would you 'stage' something like that on a brand new gixxer 1000? I wouldn't! A guy here at my work got a 1000 this summer, and already dumped it. Went over backwards at like 60mph doing a wheelie (obviously, if he went over backwards....he was doing a wheelie, at least at SOME point in the events leading up to him sliding down the road). Sad shit to see sweet bikes sliding down the road. And I didn't even get my turn to ride it! (he did offer). Shit!

The good news being that the Gixxer 1000 is all repaired and back on the road! It's out in the lot now...hmm...I wonder if I should hit him up for that ride?
