I think the kangaroo is a protected species in Australia. If you kill one you are slapped with a fine/jail time which explains the reason why they all dodged it.

Tom Smykowski: It was a "Jump to Conclusions" mat. You see, it would be this mat that you would put on the floor... and would have different CONCLUSIONS written on it that you could JUMP TO.

Poaching (sp?) is illegal, not accidently hitting one with a car..
