Talk about getting your lean down...[quote=Doc;437314]squid (skwid) n., pl. squids or squid. Any of various neanderthal sportbike owners that ride carelessly & use poor judgement, Also Squid: 1. In reference to younger motorcycle riders with little respect to posted speed limit laws, self safety or safety of others. Is this not what is pictured? Hmmm poor judgement by doing it on the public roads and not the track. Careless cause he could cause an accident. No way in fucking hell he could be doing the speed limit and lean like that. Safety.. repeat above. |

Talk about getting your lean down...It was a little remote camera on the grass, and I remember seeing it and thinking I was surely gonna take it out. but I was commited. At that lean angle, you can't check up. It's a one line situation. Any bar input is likely to make you lose the front. Late in a 25 lap race one time I was getting tired, and I threw it into T2 like that. The bike simply kept going straight, but laid over on its side. A little tension on the bars and the tire has no chance of gripping/hooking the bike into the turn. Often, the rear slides at that spot, and I'm so loose on the bars that the front just countersteers by itself. I just monitor the situation, but make no inputs. as it straightens out, I am WOT! I get jumpy just thinking about it! |

Talk about getting your lean down...Fun doesn't do that justice. Sublime, otherworldly, it's a different level of consciousness. I live for that place. |

Talk about getting your lean down...Lol! I hope you know I was referring to the feeling... not my riding. I can't get you tickets, Pete, but I can give you directions... Head down the main straight, turn left and go abot 12,000 miles as fast as you can. You'll know it when you get there. |

It was nice... but I'd like to go there again & stay for a bit longer next time. Luckilly it's only about 3 or 4k miles away. I think I moved a little closer to that place after pushing the front on my Tuono 1/2 way through 1a and responded by relaxing my entire body by pure instinct. That was cool. Talk about getting your lean down...I'd have to disagree with that. Or maybe you should say depending what bike you are on. I only say this because, while in Tenn. riding shady valley my toes were draggin all over the place. Not only was my knee kissing the pavement my toes were too. I had to move my feet back even further on the pegs. I was riding on my toes instead of on the balls of my feet. Thanks goodness for the toe pucks!! When I'd ride the 636 this never happened to me. I'm assuming this is because the pegs are higher on the 636. |

Talk about getting your lean down...i think so. if you did, i'd say that's pretty serious lean angle if you're still on the bike afterward. must do it when everything is sticky. |

Talk about getting your lean down...If your foot is wider than the foot peg, your toes will eventually drag. Mine did even on the 125, which has more clearance than anything else out there. You'd be suprised how much clearance is gained by pressing your feet flush against the frame though. In most cases it will get your toes off the deck, given that you already have proper foot position. |

Talk about getting your lean down...I do the best to tuck my heels in. The heat shield covering the exhaust pipe sticks out and pushes my heels out.. My feet aren't really wide, however the pegs are shorter than the stock ones. I'm convinced its the rearsets. I'm hoping to work with trickphoto to fab some brackets so the Gilles Tooling rearsets will fit. I have a feeling this is going to be an expensive winter!!! |

Talk about getting your lean down...Paul that picture is sick. The camera looks like it was using a fisheye (right?), which makes it look even better. Awesome! ![]() |

Talk about getting your lean down...I think it's just a wide angle lens, and I'm really close to it. It's not a full fish eye anyway. That would look much more psychadelic! |
