Re: Galfer Brake Lines

The Superbike Brake lines connect directly into the caliper and so you have one less banjo bolt / bend in the line.

Re: Galfer Brake Lines

If you can, I'd buy HEL. Stainless lines and stainless fittings. No corrosion gremlins.

Re: Galfer Brake Lines

yea i saw that on their website, and that the superbike lines are recommended for track bikes. not sure if anyone's used it on a street bike, and if it's made any improvements over the SS lines

I really like the feel of Bridestone teflon lines.

+1000 I only use HEL I buy directly from Craig Nehls.
Real good guy to deal with. He will make you up the lines to any size and bend you want!
He ships

Re: Galfer Brake Lines

standard SS lines from Galfer or Goodridge
and you'll be good to go...
I like the one's stainless steel banjo fittings...
they are tougher for a negligible amount of extra weight.

I've used Kevlar one's too and they were great too.

You can order lines from HEL as stock, and he will know just how to make them also. Sorry if I was confusing you.

just about any aftermarket lines are overkill for you.

Get some EBC HH pads or equivalent first if you haven't already & then see where you stand.

Re: Galfer Brake Lines

no, because you have a Yamaha or a Honda, remember?

Seriously, if you still have the stock pads, why not switch those out first to something with more bite & see if that gets your brakes where you want them to be?

Re: Galfer Brake Lines

my rear pads are stock and were done in june when i bought the bike. not sure about the front pads. just seems that it's stopping power is kinda weak, and i wanted a reasonable upgrade for a street bike. i think i'll have someone with more experience take a test ride on my bike and see if it's pads, lines, or just my imagination.
i was just trying to get all this stuff done before the season started, so i was good to go

Re: Galfer Brake Lines

If they're stock pads up front a set of HH pads is a LOT of bang for the buck.

I have both. What's wrong with their pads? Do they make it harder for you to do mad gixxa stoppies?
