Anyone know the industry name for the connectors the Battery Tender line uses?

I'd like to pick up a bunch on rat-tails but would rather not kick $7 plus shipping each for them.

No, just be the fat kid in class with his hand up shouting out "Ooh, Ooh, battery tender, battery tender, black quick disconnect".

It was just a joke really, but since you took offense so much, I'll point out that the original poster was asking for an industry name for the black connectors that Deltran uses in the battery tenders.

I suspect that since this was posted on an internet forum that TheIglu has the intelligence to go to google and google battery tender lead and come up with the link you so helpfully put up there. I also suspect he had already gone to the battery tender website already since he knew how much they sold the leads for and didn't want to pay that price as he wanted a bunch of them.

Now, by the same token, have you tried googling 'black quick disconnect'? You get 365,000 hits of which the first 10 or so are the battery tender ones and the rest are other black things that quickly disconnect from other things.

Hmm, those look cheaper price wise, but not quite what I was hoping for. The leads that have the strain relief and the protective boot would be ideal. There has to be a place that sells different types, I just haven't found it yet.

I'll keep searching and update everyone on my progress.

Nope.

SAE Flat Two-prong connectors with wire, same thing as what Degsy linked to. Just looking for ones with strain relief built in and the protective boot for when not in use.

with all the fancy stuff, $6.95 is prolly a reasonable price, without the boot & strain relief, you can buy an extension @ radio shack for $2.95 and make 2 of them
