Where can I get a sheet of tank grip/pad rubber from?

I want to make my own tech spec gripster pads (snake skin material):
Motorcycle Tank Grip Pads from TechSpec-USA - General Sheets

I would normally just buy the sheet from them and cut my own, but $35 for a sheet of fancy rubber seems absurd. I'm cheap, what can I say.

Does anyone know of a material that is similar to that (or the exact material?) that I can buy in small amounts (or maybe bulk if others are interested).

Thanks all!

Go to your local snowboard shop and buy a few stomp pads. $35 isn't that bad man. That's what it cost.

Yeah, I'm starting to see that from my searching.

mcmaster.com (they sell just about everything), listed rubber pads for about $30. I may have to suck it up and get them.

I did try to get snowboard stomp pads once, they didn't have any. I'll have to try other shops.
