I had number P2 in my jig. All apart and fixed it. Stroud crashed it, and it wobbled after that. I had to make some rather interesting jigs to get the alignment right. Cool project, but the phone bill to NZ was expensive.

How do you straighten (or bend for that matter) a carbon bike?

You don't bend it. I had to align the heim joints that define the steering axis. The hard part was that the heim axis were horizontal. I had the engineers in NZ baffled, but it worked. BTW that was the bike in the Guggenheim Museum.

Yeah, if you read his biography, the stories about casting his own cases were really funny. It's a miracle any of them held back oil!

Saw one at Barber Museum a couple years ago. Could have sat there for hours trying to take it all in....remarkable bike...remarkable man...remarkable story.

I went to a Ducati track day at Mosport years ago and there were two up there.
Amazing bikes for sure.
