Some fun NH routes

A friend of mine from the Concours Owners Group has a website with some good NH route information. He and I both ride Concours and sport bikes and appreciate a twisty road. I suspect the routes he lists are well known to most of you but the site is worth a look.

See:

Regarding the COG group rides: Anyone is welcome to join the rides on any bike. Quite a few COG members have sportbikes too. The rides are always fun though rather long, most of the time. Some of these guys have 30+ years of experience and can embarass a lot of sportbike riders in the corners while riding two-up on vintage sport touring machines. It's fun to ride in the back of the pack and watch a line of big, well-ridden bikes bank into a corner like the Black Sheep Squadron peeling off to attack some Zeros.

Yeah, those are all fairly common knowledge roads. Far from being 'secret'. We'll hook up this summer Stoink, my man. If ya haven't been on 'em, we'll show ya summa the REALLY nice 'secret' roads up our way....

That's a BOLD statement that I wouldn't dare make, every year, I find new twisties and ways to avoid cage traffic. Just yesterday, I was exploring (in my cage) some town roads that avoid Laconia, I just hope the frost heaves aren't quite as bad during warmer weather.

Good point. I do know lots of back roads in NH. I am always looking for new ones.

I need a route to get from 202 in the Barrington/Rochester area to Route 153 where it meets Route 11 in Farmington without using Route 16 or Route 11 (except to cross). Any ideas? My Delorme NH street map shows that there should be a route but every time I try it, I end up on dead end roads or roads that become trails (Not just dirt roads which would not bother me much). I'm reluctant to take my 9R down trails... I go to Bridgton ME often from my house in Raymond NH and hate taking route 16, even for a short stretch.

Stoinky, my man. We gotta keep it a bit hush-hush with the public broadcasts of our nicer roads up here. Not just to keep the Massholes at bay , but in case Jonny Law decides at some point this spring to start perusing sportbike sites for 'tips'...

Shoot me an email or PM, and I'll getchya some routes. Work for you?
