read the article. i guess they didn't rate the 848 very well. just another mag review though. i heard they said something like wait for the 848S, but personally, no thanks.

i'm gonna hop into a borders sometime this week to read it. comparison of suzuki750, cbr600, D675, and 848. the end rating placed the 848 third if i remember correctly. cbr last, 675 second, and 750 first. take it all with a grain of salt though. they're all special in their own way

Re: Ducati 848P ...enis

ahhaha that's pretty funny. Hey just so you guys know, some interesting tidbits I pulled out of that forum

1) Interestingly they also accuse Ducati of running the 848 on non-stock suspension at the track launch a while back!

FYI: Tons of the magazine test bikes are 'super specials'. The 'big guys' are notorious for it since they have the time, people, money, and motorcycles to do it. Magazine 'test' bikes with motorwork, upgraded forks, handbuilt motors with zero tolerances, etc is all par for the course. Pretty amusing. I know a guy out here that bought a Pressbike R6... said it was the best motorcycle he's ever ridden! Thing was like a Swiss watch!

2) The 848 suspension sucks? Please, it's fully adjustable Showa. As good or better than what is found on 99% of the other sportbikes out there.

not that the suspension sucked just that it was unbalanced. could not keep up with a gsxr750 at the track... oops!
