Well...that is good news! If CMI gets built we will finally have access to a World Clas Road course that will rival VIR and Barber...and won't involve a 15 hour drive!

I've been following this since it's inception and its been a roller coaster ride for sure. Still not a done deal but this certainly advances the cause!

I didn't see anything on the web site that speaks specifically to the question of when construction moves on or ends...

Some of the virtual views of the track show guard rails on several turns. Here is hoping those are only in the virtual world!

Checking out the site, it's all membership based. Initiation fees, monthly fees..

Really is a country club/golf club type thing eh?

Maybe there could be a way to do a group type thing But much like country clubs, hopefully the track can be rented out for a day to have track days and hopefully they wont be considerably more expensive than loudon...though it appears they might

Yeah, that's what we need. A monopoly on motorcycle roadracing in the north east.

I already have a deposit with them to rent the track for the first trackday there ever (if the place gets built).

they still have to resolve this hurdle before beginning construction

there is no doubt that the courts will decide in favor of CMI on this issue too, the Town of Tamworth has enacted a questionable zoning ordinance after the fact. NH law says you go by the zoning ordinances in effect at time of application

I have an actually scheduled trackday there...from 2005. If they renage on that deal and let someone else get first shot they will find themselves with a breach of contract lawsuit. I have the contract in my possession. They also have a large chunk of my money.

Re: Tamworth track news.

I hope this goes through, My family has a vacant Log Cabin that sleeps 8 Right in TAMWORTH NH!!! Right next to White Lake! Cabin's always empty, except for when someone in the family wants to take a small vacation.

Can't Wait!!!

Are streetfighters allowed to track?

But damn, 6,000$ for the basic initiation fee?

Is there a MUCH LESS fee of just going and trackign for an afternoon?

Re: Tamworth track news.

hahaha, and to think my family was thinking of selling this place... i should offer them 50,000 to buy it, sit on it for a couple years, and make a $200k profit

I stayed there over the summer when i went up to laconia. It was only a 30 min ride to laconia down highway 25.

Our cabin is about a mile and a half from the 25 / 16 intersection.

Re: Tamworth track news.

Looking at the fees, for 250 bucks a month you get 100 sessions, but they say each session is 1/2 hour?
Still a lot of time, but damn, that seems a bit off to me. Damn the initiation fees are STEEEP.
I wonder how much demand there will be for that? The area isnt exactly a wealthy spot, so basically youre counting on Boston, and seeing how seasonal it is, doesnt seem like people will be FLOODING to it, but maybe Im wrong.
