Daytona 200 (ok, NOW spoilers)

Well, I WAS gonna try to not gonna give it away in case people are gonna watch it later, but fukit.

Congrats to Eric Wood, he did well, as high as 9th place at one point... then WAAAAYYYY down into the 50's, but he was able to climb back to a top 20 finish in 19th place.

It was good to see Shane doin pretty good towards the beginning, too... dunno what happened but both he & Wood dropped waaaaay back about 10-15 laps into it. Eric was able to climb back up like I said but Shane ended up dropping out.

Congrats to Pegram, too. Good to see Duc making a decent outting in AMA.

Sucks about Duhamel... i'm sure he's gonna have some words about AMA regarding that call.

Good race... too bad I'll miss Superbike, I'm off to Derby

Re: Daytona 200 (ok, NOW spoilers)

Eric was running 7th when he had to pit in due to his rear axle nut coming off. His rear wheel almost came off on the banking... He lost two laps and clawed his way back to 19th. We were all glad he made it back out but pretty bummed at end due to fact he honestly could have finished 6th if not for that one, extremely stupid mistake.

Larry's 4th was pretty awesome. Larry had to come in after 4 laps due to his first Pirelli rear tyre blistering. To end up getting 4th after that extra pit stop was huge.

Shane's Trumpet blew a rod thru the case. Too bad as the kid started in 39th and was sitting in 20th when it popped.

Crazy racing!!

I was wondering what happened. He was doing awesome and the next second was almost off the radar. Nice to see him come back as far as he did.

Just got back from the Ducati / Pegram Racing dinner. Nothing like sitting there eating pasta and getting a call from the AMA saying 'congrats, you finished 3rd' and have 40 people erupt in cheer.

Hayes DQ'ed for illegal crank!
