Just goes to show ya, when a cop is going the opposite direction, has the radar set to "Instant On" & spots you while you're hanging off, rippin around a corner, it's best to just get to a safe spot, pull over, shut off the bike & wait for him to turn around & catch up. We were already stopped & taking our gear off by the time he pulled up behind us.

We could have EASILY been GONE if we punched it and I think he probably knew that & took it into consideration. He also knew we were locals as we saw him about a 1/2 hour before when we were pulling out of my driveway.

Nice guy, wasn't a dick at all. Shit, he coulda thrown the book at us & taken our bikes if he wanted to. We weren't goin all THAT fast, but we WERE in a 25mph zone.

it was nice riding with you -- though, i wish i could've spent a little more time behind the tuono for some grumbling italian v-twin excellence .

i managed a total of 80mi, though the last 30min or so started to get a little chilly.

can't wait until it warms up another 10*F...

A couple of years ago when I was still living in Ipswich, I was let go by a Boxford cop who could have really ruined my day if he chose to. I was accelerating hard out of a corner only to find the officer sitting on the side of the road looking right at me. I pulled over right away and the first thing out of his mouth was "I've seen some cool things in my life but I've never seen a motorcycle power wheelie out of a corner while still turning."

We ended up talking about bikes for a few minutes before he gave me a quick lecture and let me go. Needless to say I avoided the area for a few weeks.

I don't know how but I've been let go in West Newbury too.
