Searching for local knowledge/advice

All,
New to the area and the forum and had the unfortunate discovery today of finding to dents in my front wheel along with a rapidly decaying front tire.

Is there a good salvage yard with in 20-30 miles from Amesbury MA? If not are there any opinions on who would do a good job straightening the wheel?

I heard that if it is not to bad that just adding some weights and rebalancing the tire/wheel would do the trick as well.......opinions?

Thanks for the help.

+1 on mcwheel....they straightened the front rim on my race bike...gave it to them as an oval and they got it back to mint.

only cost like $120

Unless its a special rim I would just go for a new rim. What type of bike is it, I would bet you could find one local for about the same price as straightening yours.
