IMPO, "fitting" on a sportbike for street riding has a lot do with tolerance. You put up with the cramped business for those times when comfort is furthest from thought.

Here's my suggestion: KTM 990 Supermoto

I have not sat on one. I just know someone that owns one that is about 6'1" and has not complained.

Exposing the virtues of liter bikes because they will fit is not always sage advice as well.

I don't care who you are... Shaq shouldn't start on a 1000cc...

Re: Sport bikes for big boys?

Might I suggest a Triumph Tiger? It is tall, roomy, comfortable, and powerful. I would also suggest checking out a Buell Ulyses, except for that lump of an engine, or a KTM 950 Adventure if not for the 21" front wheel...
All are right proper for big boys when set up correctly.

Re: Sport bikes for big boys?

Heres another one for you guys.

Is it usually better to finance through the dealer or the bank? I know car dealers usually have some good rates, is it the same for motorcycle dealers?

thanks, Dan

bank, always and forevermore. credit union is preferable. dont know why you think car dealers give good rates, but you might want to do a rehash of that belief as well.

you should shop around for loans just like you do for bikes.

The only exception to that is if they are running a special financing promotion at the dealership or brand credit card. I was able to finance my last motorcycle at 3.99% for 3 years when the going rate was around 6.5%. You have to read the fine print though to make sure you don't get screwed in the end. I made sure my monthly payments would cover the balance a couple of months before the 3 year term was up.

I had some desperate dealers giving me some low rates when I was shopping for my Tahoe. Guess it depends on the vehicle and dealer.

Agreed... Usually if you don't pay it off during the promotional period they will charge you for all the accumulated interest from the past 3 years at their normal high rate of 12-24%. They also put your minimum payment around $30 which won't even remotely cover the loan ballance in even 6 years.

If you are comfortable reading the fine print, there are plenty of deals to be had if you have the means to pay the bike off in a reasonable period of time.

zx7r is nice for a bigger person.. The tank is long it streches you out some..

So they wanted to make sure everyone was in an equal amount of pain?
Glad to hear they don't discriminate when building their torture racks

see that's odd, i'm pretty short and i thought the zx-7r was one of the more "cramped" and racey bikes i have ridden.

The multi is a nice choice. Rj's in Nashua has one on the floor for 6K with a comfort seat and a chipped motor with Termingioni exhaust. Nice Fast red colour.

FYI.
