bar-end mirrors

what do you guys recommend?

I'm looking for some that are relatively small, black, and that will fold somewhat when the bike goes down.

and they have to be... uhhh... fashionable.

Re: bar-end mirrors

yeah the CRG's are nice, but at 80-100 bucks EACH I said "eff dat" & went with Motrax mirrors for 60 bucks a pair. (they're down to 50 bucks now)

They don't fold, but there's a simple solution to that.... don't drop your bike.

Cycle Gear - MOTRAX Mini Billet Bar-End Mirrors BLACK: Mini Billet Bar-End Mirrors, BLACK

I ended up finding a way to mount them & still keep the stock bar ends... looks much better than the mounts that come with them.

Originally I had them mounted to my turn signals, which looked sweet, but with the saddlebags on the bike or Jenni on the back seat I couldn't see anything directly behind me.

Napoleons are black and fold well, but not really small

they are fairly crash worthy and fold up and act as sliders, and because of their size, they do eliminate all blind spots

Third Eye bicycle bar end mirrors. I bought two of em for $10 bucks from my buddies bike shop. It folds, but if you crashed it would just shatter (somewhat cheap).

If I can find my other one I'll let you borrow/keep it to try. Looks like a cheaper version of the CRG (kinda sorta)

Re: bar-end mirrors

i have the crg's on the sv, if you wanna try'em on your bike come down and throw mines on your bike to see if you like'em.

I wouldn't go napoleons on your bike purely because they'd be much too bulky on the daytona (if thats the bike your reffering to but for the gs they'd be fine).

Re: bar-end mirrors

I used to have bar end mirrors...........On my Huffy when I was ten

I personally hate the look of them on motorcycles. They remind me of those ass hats on mountain bikes wearing the full spandex suits who ride in the middle of the road stopping at traffic lights and using hand signals when they turn I hate those fuckers.

I have the folding Hindsight LS now, the LS (lane splitter) part works well when your, well, lane splitting and when in a tight trailer.

Re: bar-end mirrors

Bar end mirrors? Are you serious? From having a 675 I know that in town/city my elbows block the mirrors but imo I think bar end mirrors would destroy the sleek look of a 675.

Have you tryed to find some aftermarket mirrors that are wider?

Re: bar-end mirrors

shit i don't care about the whole elbow blocking thing and visibility. after taking th emirrirs off for a trackday i just think the bike looks a helluva lot sleeker without them.

BCT, looking at your avatar, do you have any mirrors on your bike at all?? i've ridden without mirrors on my other bike and it sucked balls.

Re: bar-end mirrors

Yes I do have mirrors. That pic is old and from the day I bought it and the guy who had it before me took the stock ones off and put one of the smallest bar end mirrors I have ever seen on it. It looks more like a dental mirror than anything else. I bought a set of stockers off ebay for the bike before I even picked it up.

Nothing harsh just imo I like the factory mirrors, or the led mirror/directional on the 848/1098. Maybe I should take a better look at bar end mirrors, I only remember them as a kid seeing them on bicycles.
