License TransferSo I have to go to the dreadful RMV and make the official transition from New Hampshire-ite to MassHole and have a question. According to the RMV website it says that my driver's license endorsement will transfer w/o a test but don't see anything pertaining to a motorcycle endorsement. Am I going to have to retake my test? Anyone? Bueler? |

Re: License TransferJust make sure as f*ckin hell you have a huge pile of utility bills and other stuff to prove your residence. And as always save some non-MA ID that positively identifies you. (Passport, etc..) If you ever move back to NH or some other states you will need it. It is a funny thing.. Homeland security and the feds are no longer going to recognize NH drivers licenses as IDs because we are not submitting to "Real ID". And at the same time NH does not recognize MA IDs because they get in the hands of illegal aliens too easily... and yet the MA ID is accepted by the feds because they agreed to the "Real ID" program... |

Re: License TransferQuick note: If you do need to go to the registry in MA, the one in Lawrence has been lightning-fast every time I've had to go there. I got my new bike registered and picked up plates on Tuesday, and I was in there less than 5 minutes. I showed up around 11 in the morning. .2c. |

Re: License TransferQuote:
I'm flying out to CA in a month and need to have a license that is accepted by all airports. CQ - I've also had good luck in Lawrence in the past. I've been told to avoid Worcester like the plague. |

If you go to the RMV website it will list the wait times for all the branches. Definitely check before you go! |
