Re: my new ride! (=

You're gonna love it...couple things I did.
-Comp Werks fender eliminator that also relocates the blinkers into the rear vents
-14 tooth front sprocket..stock gearing is crazy high
-Rear seat cowl, removed pass pegs. I did one ride 2 up and never again on this bike
Here's a pic

i'd probably go w/ the white, too, although white with a red frame instead of the gunmetal would look PIIIIIIMP

Re: my new ride! (=

no, i can't race this bike, I have to keep telling myself this ... i will not race the new Ducati!

I put about 100 miles on it today, and pretty impressive thus far. I agree with the stock gearing being high, but for now its fine. This is going to be street bike and track day weapon. Really looking forward to the next track day for sure, this seems like it really wants to play in the corners. (=

I'm very impressed with the smooth power delivery so far ... trying to keep it under 7k for break in though, so don't really have a good idea of it yet.

The brakes are amazing on this! I thought the honda brakes were good, but this is just another level.

I love the styling of the bike and the single sided swing arm.

So far, very happy with my purchase. Just need to put some miles on her and a bunch of track day laps (=

Re: my new ride! (=

Welcome to the family. Might want to spring for rear ride height adjuster. Just think, the 1098 Monobloc brakes stomp all over the 848's more traditional Brembo's! The 848's Brembo's are actually easier to ride, since they don't bite so crazy on the track.

Super fun bike man. You'll enjoy riding it.

Re: my new ride! (=

I totally agree with you on the single sided swing arm, it looks very, very nice.
Another good fact of the 848 is it has a better power to weight ratio than the 999. (doesn't put more power out than the 999 but just a better ratio)

Again very nice ride. Hope you truly enjoy it.
