good thing I drove my truck today so I can run over old people vs getting run over by them on my bike...I might go get a sub now, that does sound tastey

can you spread the word that not all of us suck as drivers as soon as we reach 50?
I find myself developing a desire to show a bit more "road rage" than I care to accept? I have also found a new 6th sense (since riding) of knowing 3 cars back who's on a cell phone, putting on make-up or yes, reading a book!
don't any of these people see the news or are they all in a COMA
thank you

Re: God Damn Old People

all I know is that for every driver that is older and shouldn't be on the road there is a younger version who also shouldn't be on the road. My little sister (19 now wow how time flies) is known to text while driving and it drives me nuts, but she doesn't see anything wrong with it. Now she is in Oklahoma where the traffic is a WHOLE lot less, but its still the principle. I think everyone should be retested every time they have to renew their license. Kinda like taking the MSF course more than once just to brush up on your skills and have a coach there willing to provide constructive feedback...

Whatever, just my .02

Re: God Damn Old People

Yea, it's not always older people. I've had my share of young, mid and old nearly run me over. Just a week ago or so some guy with his wife / kids in the cage pulled out in front of me, looking to the right and pulling out, he looks back to the left and then sees me. Little late there aren't ya? not a bad idea to look THEN pull out. ah well.

Just today I was following some girl down the highway, she was all over the road. I have to wonder if there were no rumble strips...if she'd have gone off the highway completely. I imagine she was txt'ing or something.

How about having to pick-up your 1st social security check at DMV if you are still a licensed driver and get re-tested then.

I text while I drive once in a while. I don't look at the phone though, night classes helped me learn what number does what letter.

i am cool with that. i see that old people only bus all the time they should just hop on that. mabey 70years should be the cut off as others have suggested as i just talked to a guy i work with who is 64 sharp as a tack and rides the piss out of a vintage triumph. he is good to go.
