Whatever differences in riding attire we might have, he is a fellow rider, and thus a brother. Heal up quick, Chris.

Re: Rider Down...

Another Update Guys and Gals:

Repost via my myspace from my gf Sanda and my buddy Greg:

Here is the latest on our buddy Chris aka C-DUB:

I spoke to his Mom this afternoon and unfortunately he is still in Critical Condition...

Currently his right arm and left leg has been repaired, but he still needs surgery on his pelvis and his left arm.

He was scheduled for surgery last night but had a fever so they did not proceed

As of last night the nurse and doctors had to insert a tube through his nose so if he gets sick again which happened last night he will not catch pneumonia from fluids entering his lungs from the vomiting.

Also his mother informed me that they are carefully watching his kidneys because upon impact one of his muscles in his body, which is unknown which one it may be, is leaking toxins into his bloodstream and as a result his kidneys are not processing them correctly.

On the good side of news his mom says that there is no restriction on visitation, however 30 people are not what she recommends to go visit so that all the faces do not overwhelm him. And you may only visit in pairs of 2. Please call the Hospital @ 603-650-5000 and ask for the number to the Critical Care Waiting Room to see if he will be available for visitation cause we will not know when they may be in the room doin a procedure therefore we will not be able to visit.

Hope this helps and please keep him in your prayers!!! He needs all the help he can get.

The Lawtown Ryder Family, The Rip It Crew, myself and many of his close friends and relatives will be taking a trip up to Lebanon on Friday evening and Sat early afternoon to visit him. We are doing both days due to certain individuals work schedules, prior engagements and or if Friday is not a good day to see him as well so consider Sat a rain date due to surgery etc.

Please message me back with a list of people going on Friday night so we can arrange transportation.

Thanks! We love and miss you Chris aka C-DUB!!! Come home soon!!
-Sandra

Thanks again! Our thoughts and prayers are with you always. Speedy recovery. Best wishes.
-Amelia xo

If anyone is interested in sending any thoughts, wishes or gifts to Chris. PM me for more information and I will reply promptly. Though I know nobody here knows him personally, the concern we show will hopefully give him support and will provide him with some comfort. He's a fellow rider, and if you were him we all know you would appreciate the same.

Shall we argue that if I had no helmet it would have been the same. Who cares. A good friend to some of us is still in critical condition in the hospital and could be there a long time with major problems, helmets are irrelivent at this point in time. What happen happen, you want to discuss helemts start another thread for it.
i appreciate your passion for the subject.FWIW, i ALWAYS wear a helmet and gloves...i might wear shorts and a t shirt but always a helmet. ive worked in a lot of shops and meet a lot of people who have a story similar to yours and that is the crutch they stand on to support their reason for not wearing a helmet. yes, you got lucky once...why try your luck again? its russian roulette. will a helmet ALWAYS save you? absolutley not. but its saved me twice. my 1st accident, the only thing touching the ground at 50mph was my facesheild. no helmet=no face. my 2nd biggest crash wasnt much different. weve ridden together before and i really dont care what you or anyone else does or doesnt do..i just hope your friend realizes just how lucky he was and maybe the thought of wearing a helmet will be more considered.

back on topic.
hope hes doing a little better. after a crash like that the road to recovery is gonna be long and slow. had a friend with a similar accident and it wasnt pretty. he practically folded a chevy 1500 in half w his ZX9. he was a completely different person after that. the comments in the Union leader page are infuriating..especially that kelly bitch!

Re: Rider Down...

he has had another surgery for his pelvis, in all 2 broken arms, broken pelvis, broken leg. I think a few more things. He might have phenoma from fluid in lungs and yes I cant spell. Going to surgery again Monday, he is doing better then a few days ago but still will be in hospital for a few weeks at least is my guess, will give updates as I get and I am sure that he is going to have a new outlook if he even rides again. My crash was nothing like this and I still love to ride, but his is bad and I can't judge for him. As for the helmets, I make no judgement on it not being able to save you, its always better to have it on in my opinion, but yes I do not always have it on. I was lucky the last time I did not hit head even though I did have helmet but yes I still ride without some of the time. So did I learn anything, yeah don't play without gear and if you choose to ride without you better accept what could happen. Chris is lucky he did not hit his head and no gear would have prevented what broken bones he has. We are just happy and lucky this did not take him from us

It truly is disgusting that she can sit there and blame someone not at fault just because they ride a motorcycle.

Drivers like her are the ones we try to look out for, and avoid

Re: Rider Down...

Yeah he was doing about 40-45 they say, yes it was I think 5-10 over the limit, but tell me when you drive your car you don't do the same, so he was driving exactally how every car on the road was except the drunk ass that did a uturn in the middle of the street and went right in front of him. Still though must be his fault cause he is on a bike. Us bike people don't know how to drive.

This one's for Kelly

Re: Rider Down...

We need to go get that Kelly bitch and take her to Chis's bedside and let her tell Chris that even though the driver was drunk and made an illegal U-Turn it's still his fault for riding a motorcycle.

BTW - If she used her real name it should not be too hard to find her. Kelly Moore of Manchester.

I have an idea for a new bumper sticker. We can sell it to benefit Chris. It should read....... "Kelly's are everywhere"

Yes... I'm ashamed. I started seeing a guy a few months back who has a +3 handicap and loved golf. I've never liked it much, but its in the best interest for my career for me to learn, so I started watching and hitting the driving range.

ahaha I think I've seen that type of setup with 'because golf is for faggots' for like 5 sports. Anyhow I don't like golf, but I do like riding my motorcycle to range instead of working.

Wow... this thread got derailed.

Don't be ashamed... I thought I was the only one who liked golf and watches it on t.v. When I was younger my GF's parents would watch golf on t.v. and I thought they were crazy... but now I see the appeal.

Maybe we should put together a NESR golf outing.

As for the original topic... sorry to hear about the accident. I am glad to hear it didn't end up in a fatality.

As for gear... I don't care what people choose to wear or not wear. I can see both sides of the argument... and I choose to do what I want. Everyone is entitled to their opinion... go ahead and state it if you want, but don't try and force it on everyone.

As for the trackdays/golf motivational poster... trackdays are on weekdays, I typically golf on the weekend.
