New lid: Thanks insurance!

I wanted this lid since the second it came out but never had a justification to buy such a ridiculously expensive helmet.... until now: it's free.

It's an Arai RX-7 Corsair Josh Hayes replica, the jolly roger helmet. Also got a dark smoke shield for it.

The black paint is metallic... it's fucking sweet. I tried to get a closeup:

uh oh, guess we'll never ride together. Wouldn't want to commit a fashion faux-pas. I have the same helmet.

J/K. No biggie, he has good taste.

No sir.

I haven't worked out in about 2 months because I've been busy with work. I've literally lost around 7-8 pounds, all direct muscle loss I think. Fuckin' sucks.

5 years old. Need to replace that soon. Might not take the impact as well as a newer helmet would. (Foam inside becomes more brittle over time.)

I'm not sure those 8 pounds are of the same variety as the ones I lost

That's the ONLY thing I don't like about it... I have a bad feeling a bunch of folks might get it just because it's such a sweet lid. C'est la vie... I really like it.

I put in a claim after a crash, and they also cover a replacement for your helmet in addition to the damage to the vehicle, since in MA you are required to wear said helmet.
