so i got lit up again merging from on ramp. there were on going cars one ahead and one maybe few feet behind me as im closed to the on going lane with enough space for maybe couple cars. i accel little hard, maybe from 40-60 and could not be more because of car in front, to fit in the space. he was the second on going car. he lit, i pulled over to a foot solder, he pulled next to me while opened the windows.

him: what are you doing?
me: merging
him: blah blah blah.... on and on.

i just nod and he drove off.

i really dodn't know what he was talking about. my guess is the rapid accel but im pretty sure he never mention that.

i could slow down a little to let him or whoever go but i still have to adjust to the on going traffic speed. i really dont know wtf i did wrong.

Thank You!!! Thats what I was going to say (even though I am a masshole). In particular there are two spots taking exit 26 off 128 going to rt 20 in Waltham that people completely blow the yeild. I used to take that daily and can't remember how many times I almost got taken out by these douche bags...and they have no clue what they are doing wrong. I had one guy start yelling at ME for cutting him off (he had the yeild and I had the right of way). I informed him that "its called a fucking yeild asshole, try it sometime! Next time Ill just hit you!"

yes you YIELD onto the on going traffic if you CAN"T MERGE. if you dont MERGE then you don't YIELD, then you have traffic build up. trust me i did not interrupting him. i can't it's impossible.

I f*ckin hate that when uncoming cars on the highway feel that I should move to the left to let them on the highway. I don't have to, and if there is already a car next to me, I CAN'T move to the left. I will do it 95% of the time out of courtesy, but if I don't, slow down and WAIT 'til I've passed!

The Yield Signs that I've ever seen don't really give you the option... If it is a red, upside down triangle, with the word "YIELD" in it... It's pretty clear. You YIELD! Not, "try to merge and yield if all else fails"...

But, being from Ct. I may not know how they do things up in Ma...
