So unfortunately for me I crashed my bike today and feel like a complete jackass, this is my second bike and although it's a 97 it was in pretty good condition until today that is. While on the way to a friends house some asshat in an suv decides they need the entire road to take a corner and so I pretty much almost made out with the grill of this pos. It all happened pretty fast but basically said suv was entirely in my lane and I mean 100% directly in front of me so I stood the bike up he/she swerved and I dropped it back down to try and negotiate the turn sans getting hit but it didn't work out too well. Hit a patch of sand on the side of the road and that was it, bike was down and I was flying through the air and ended up landing in the road (no clue how that happened). I'm just pissed because I was barely putting along in second gear taking it easy and some fuck feels the need to haul ass around a corner in their tank of an suv. Luckily for me I was wearing all my gear and don't have a scratch or a bruise on me at all, I didn't even bother taking pics of my jacket because it held up like a champ. I pretty much landed on my left shoulder and fore arm and my jacket saved me! this is the jacket I bought and it may be hard to tell from the pics but I got up w/out a scratch because of my gear.

No they just kept going and that's probably a good thing seeing as I was unhurt and absolutely furious!

man that sucks...today was a Bad day. Glad your ok.

This morning (530 am) on my way to work some guy decided to make an illegal U turn in front of me. My only option was to hit the brakes; it didn't cut it. I ended up bouncing off his car, landing on my back, rolling over, popping up on two feet, only to have my bike continue to roll on two wheels (those things just don't want to go down) and decide to tip over next to me hitting the side of my knee. I was pissed, too, second gear, nothing crazy, and at the speed limit...maybe even a little below. Cops gave the guy a ticket and said he was at fault. I think I am fine but sore; my knee hurts and my left hip. My Bike is F**ked, it's at the dealership, who knows what they will say. In my signature is the before pics, I will see if I can get some of the photos that the guy took of the afters.

So watch out, the shitty drivers have been let loose today.

By the way, something I had forgotten from winter...riding the T sucks.

Yikes. That sucks. But any crash that you can walk away from is a good thing.

I should be getting my bike back this week (Fingers crossed) after getting hit by a truck. Hooray.

Bad day for NESRs...but could have been WAY FREEKIN WORSE. Congrats to both for what sounds like pretty well executed bail outs and, more to the point, for wearing the gear. Bravo...

Yup, about 3 min after I passed you. I'll be out of work around 3 and maybe I'll swing by when you get home if that's cool so you can check out the damage and make sure she's still road worthy.

And thanks for the kind words everyone, the funny/ironic thing is I was talking to a friend at work who rides in shorts and was trying to convince him to wear gear earlier today but he's too worried about his image. I was trying to explain to him that even a simple low speed crash can mess you up pretty bad and bam! I'm on my ass

Damn That is Fucked! I too was in an accident today, but luckily was in my truck, getting off 95 going on the pike. just leave the tolls & Tractor trailer desided he wants my lane and taking NO is not an option. Side swipes me, Pushed me into the median, and never stopped.

Chased him down and still will not stop. (good decision by him at that time)Took his plate and stopped at the state barracks.....WTF is with people!?
