For the hell of it: The CB160Pulled my first bike out of the basement after being ignored for about 8 years and decided to clean her up a bit and see if she'll run. Here are a few pics. Still have to get a battery and some new plugs but I'm pretty confident it won't take much. After all it's a Honda. ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Re: For the hell of it: The CB160WOW! I was full expecting to jump in here, make some wise ass post about some shitty old motorcycle... I did not expect to see that. That is one HOT looking CB. Did you do the resto? It's absolutely perfect. |

Re: For the hell of it: The CB160I wouldn't go as far to say it's perfect, but it is in pretty good condition considering the year. It's got a little under 2k miles on the odometer, original paint/chrome on the tank, I refurbed the frame when I got it, as with the rear fender. Cleaned up the motor, full tune up, etc and had it running within a couple of days after I got it(back in '98-'99). It had been sitting under some guys porch for 20 or so years after his brother ran it into a tree and hurt himself pretty bad. Brought it home that night for $50. ![]() |

Re: For the hell of it: The CB160Very cool! I wouldn't mind having one of those in the collection. I'd even pimp that with a vintage leather helmet too! |

Re: For the hell of it: The CB160It's funny, but when I look at those pictures, my eyes are immediately drawn to the Chrome tanked CB, over your Daytona. I must be getting old... |

Re: For the hell of it: The CB160It started last time I had it out. I am going to pull the carbs and give em a good cleaning, get some new plugs, battery etc. I know one of the floats has to be adjusted, due to the fact that it pisses fuel out of the overflow in the bowl. Also have to put some shit back together that I left off the bike when I was tinkering with it years ago. |

Re: For the hell of it: The CB160oh man, that is the hotness...chrome gas tanks with rubber knee pads make me all warm and fuzzy inside. you should deffinatly get it running and ride it to pose night. park right between all the chromed and streched gixxas. |

Re: For the hell of it: The CB160I checked the needle valves when I pulled the slides out and everything seems to be moving freely. I've had float issues with the carbs before, so we'll see. They're pretty frigin' simple to work on. The only problem I had last time I had taken them apart was that one of the floats had a small crack in it, which allowed the float to fill up with fuel and, well, no longer float. I had fixed it before, but I'm going to check it again to make sure that it's still leak-free. |

Re: For the hell of it: The CB160If has the brass floats (which I imagine it does), good ol solder will fix that up no prob. And FWIW; while a needle might not appear to stick when you have the carb apart, it can be a whole different story once the carb is together and fueled (ask me how I know). |

Re: For the hell of it: The CB160It does have the brass floats and solder is how I repaired it initially. Seemed to work ok but since I'm going to pull the carbs anyway I might as well check em out to make sure it's still holding ok. |
