Craiglist trade?

Hey guys, I've been lookin at TL-R's for a while now and came across this add in bridgewater lookin for a trade for an inline 4. Its a 2002 TL-R with just over 15k on it. Anyone know this bike or the owner? Tryin to get a lil bit of honest info about the bike

2002 tl1000r

Re: Craiglist trade?

Do it. I don't know it but I traded my k5 GSXR1000 to get mine. There are so many things out there and a great community. Do it. Do it now. I need another TL guy to ride with.

I'm not understanding the concern about this......if the ad's been re-listed a few times, that makes it a shakey deal?

Re: Craiglist trade?

^agreed. My buddy has a TLR and it's a pretty great ride. Unfortunately, he's been having maintenance problems with it. His gearbox got all kinds of effed up. I'm not sure if high maintenance is a trait of them or if he just flogs the shit out of his bike, but it definately wasn't fun helping him fix it.

Re: Craiglist trade?

Mine's been completely reliable. Coming up on 15k myself.

Looks like a good deal. Go check see it in person and form an opinion. The reason that its been reposted a few times is because the TL is a fairly obscure bike to the simpletons of the motorcycle world. Most people only think "GSX" when they think Suzuki.

Re: Craiglist trade?

I have 26,000 on mine and haven't had much happen to it. The bike is on TLZone.net and TLPlanet.com for sale also. He has been a contributing member in the TL community. This is by far the funnest bike I've ever owned so....DO IT DO IT DO IT!!!! (If you do, can I have the wheels??!!)
