Re: Finally pulled the trigger!

Yeah, I have this as an aftermarket option on my SX bike and most KTMs come with 2 maps, but this one has ten. I think the word maps has confused the masses as it is now associated with FI software, but I'm quite sure these are ignition curves. They don't really change peak output, but they definitely change where the torque comes on and how quickly the revs build, and how much over-rev is available. It's a very cool feature to offer that no one really asked for.

Number 2 is the one you want Dolla. It's a little touchy on/off for me for everyday, but I'll use it for track/sport rides. The torque hit harder and lower, but there's a chance the revs don't build as fast, so it's a trade off.

Re: Finally pulled the trigger!

You're supposed to take the day off from work when you buy a new bike. That way you can break it in. And there's less torture.

Enjoy it man. My buddy Tim got one as well, so I know 3 of the NE bikes.

Haha, next time tell my boss that dude!
Plus if I work today, then I can take a day off for a track day! IT all works out in the end.
