my bike recovered in wisconsin

I get a call from the PD and tell me my bike was recovered in wisconsin with texas plates . have bike will travel I guess ,no word on what it looks like and cond. but the officer said it was yellow and blue now. I can only imagine how many miles are on that bike now if its the same motor. anyway I was thinking of buying it back and use it for a track bike but no telling what condition its in. plus what it would cost just to ship it back.I dont know if it worth it?

I'd call that one a write off. Way too many things could have happened to that bike...

+1

sorry to hear it, but at least it's recovered (minor satisfaction that it's not in the thieves hands anymore, although they probably sold it so it makes little difference to them).

Re: my bike recovered in wisconsin

Glad to hear they recovered it, I guess. My biggest fear is that my bike will get stolen and recovered shortly thereafter, abused of course. Kinda like kidnapping your girl & raping her...in both cases I think just killing the victim is the best way to go. I definitely wouldn't buy her back after someone else (specificially a thief) has had their way with her.

I searched your posts but didn't see a thread about the theft? More info or a link perhaps? What kinda bike, where/when taken, etc?

see if the PD is willing to add the charges of shipping it back to the guy they arrested for the theft....unless they just found the bike and don't have anyone...then I'd forget about it.

My R6 was stolen and recovered six months later, I asked to buy it back from insurance and they said you can't buy back a stolen bike only a crashed bike...
