Re: Tire Changing in Chelmsford, MA

Just had Mike throw on a set of Prelli Diablo Rossos. Great guy, great service. I highly recommend sending Mike a PM if you need tires. Now it is time to go scrub them in
maybe more like pray: until they are scrubbed

Thanks again, Rick.
Rick's bike is pristine... I rocked the purple gloves for the bike's sake

you're missing the obvious joke.

Tricky, I may be bringing a new wheel with my swingarm. My front wheel is done, and needs to be replaced.

Re: Tire Changing in Chelmsford, MA

So, I'm all set up to do car/truck tires too.
Cost is $15 each (wheels on the car/truck is fine) plus $5 for disposal. Balancing is static balancing, which I admit is not as fancy as dynamic balancing, but I don't have the loot for a dynamic balancer. You buy now!

Got a preffered (cheap) place for buying car tires. Fuckers wanted $700 for a mounted set without even throwing in an alignment or reach around.

yeah, it's rough... I just paid $613 for a set of Goodyear TripleTreads from DiscountTire.com... Free shipping too. Town Fair was willing to match, but I'd have had to pay MA sales tax (and waited a lot longer... UPS even put them in the garage for me). Some decent deals on teh interwebs, but most local places won't touch tires you didn't buy from them (which is where I come in). I have a lifetime alignment on my truck, which I highly recommend, especially if you do your own front-end work (cost me $75). I may consider a $10 a wheel winter special (plus disposal if needed). The cold months are obviously slow for the bike stuff.
Could have spent less, obviously... but $600 should get you a set of Michelins, etc...

It will be soon. I need to get the scratch together for a ski mask or steal a set of pantyhose first, then the rest will fall into place.
