Where did you get that color matched lower fairing in your avatar and how much was it?

Tough waiting isn't it?

I think I have about 2-3 weeks left before I'm on the road. My title gets mailed next tuesday and then I have to just go get it registered and fix one thing so I can pass inspection.

Isn't that lower fairing a Suzuki part that they made for the SVS but just didn't include? I thought you could just order it through the dealer.

I ordered it when I bought the bike from the dealer. At the time the catalog was on the Suzuki website. Now it isn't because of the styling changes. It took two month's for it to show up. I'm sure you can still get it if you want i can get the part number for you. It cost $360. A little pricey but the aftermarkets ones would cost more after painting.

I have a five month layoff on my collision insurance for the winter. It reduces the price. I will probably go to the 3 month this year.

My insurance was dormant from Dec 1st to March 1st. Only reason I have to wait is I moved to MA, so now I need to re-register and get new insurance.

Next winter I am leaving it insured all winter.

I leave mine on the road. IIRC, the insurance savings are quite small if you take it off the road for the Winter in NH. They don't charge much for Winter bike insurance because they know you won't be riding much. I'm sure historical claims data will back this up. Might be different in other states and I could be completely wrong too...

I keep mime up all year too...
I pay the Ins. for 9 months, which covers the year...
So I guess I just get not to pay for 3 months, but when the new bill arrives, the 1st one is a whammy!

weather.com shows snow all DAMN next week in my area... I would have loved to throw the bike on a trailer and drove down to Daytona.. $500! I would have paid $1000 right about now. It hit 38 below zero twice today with the windchill...

Why Monterrey? It's not exactly a tourist Mecca, nice city though.

Hey Mick, good to hear someone is enjoying themselves. Have a safe trip back home to the frigid weather of New England.
