Basically, someone posts a picture with their bike in an identifiable location, the location may be a popular attraction or eatery or view or bridge or crossing or whatever. The location should be something that others would be able to figure out with some basic clues. The first person to claim the "tag" by taking a photo of their bike in the same location, and posting it in this thread gets to post the next photo or "tag".


Rules are easy...
Find the tag and reproduce the photo (as best as possible). POST THE PHOTO in this thread. Take the tag to a new location, get a new photo and post it here. Give a few hints so the next person can figure out where the tag is located.Make the clues clear and easily understood.
Try to place the tags in interesting locations, maybe a bit of history that can be found down some nice twisties.
Tag must be: a) findable & b) not placed on a dirt road.
Maintained gravel is OK, but make sure to let folks know that gravel is required to get to your tag. We don't want to exclude those who don't like to get dirty.
The first person to post a found tag gets to place the next tag. If you get a tag, but somebody else posts their picture first, you lose.
One tag at a time. File photos are NOT permitted. You gotta ride to play this game.
Your bike has to be in the TAG picture.
Each new TAG must be within 50 miles of the previous TAG.
TAG must be located in MA or NH....(this is negotiable, but if we include VT and ME it will make it very hard for people to figure things out)
RULES UPDATE:

Well after much debate I think we should try the following. TAGS can be claimed and held with no new TAG posted right away. This is how its done on ADV and works well, and nothing is perfect anyways.

A NEW TAG must be posted within 24 hours of the claimed TAG. HOWEVER TAGS should only be left open by the claimer overnight if there is a real reason too. Real reasons would include weather (sever rain, thunderstorms etc) or you are doing a great ride first thing in the AM the next day, or you claimed the current tag late at night, like TED did yesterday for example, etc. Basically, you be the judge of what is a good reason.

IN GENERAL, all open claimed TAGS must be UPDATED WITH A NEW TAG by MIDNIGHT of the day you claim it. Keep it overnight and the full 24 hrs only if you must, try not to as it slows down the game.

Remember, you gotta be quick. Don't make the clues difficult, because it will come back and bite you in the arse. Also, bring your "A" game cause someone will have a tag and post another while you're thinking about eating breakfast.

If you wanna play, you gotta ride.

How far east will this be going? Looking at MA there seems to be 2 good natural lines, 190/13 and 495.

As far as anyone wants I suppose. It's all in fun. The other MA tag-o-rama seems to be all Boston area for the most part. And some people wanted it further west while others wanted it to stay east. This should make everyone happy!

Obviously you can put this game where you want it, but central MA is pretty close to regular ma. No reason the MA-NH tag cant be played out here, and most likely will go all the way to the NY border as the riding season continues.

ive gone south east today and wasnt impressed with the roads.... too many cherries and berries

Got it after work today, but couldn't post it up until after I got back from Bike Night. And I kept it West of 495. So, here we go:

As much as the Boston people don't like it, this was a great idea, I've been wanting to play but don't have the time to go out for 3 or 4 hour rides to grab tags on the North Shore or in the city. I think 495 is a good end point for this game thread, I'm going to get MA ones as well if I have the time to go East, but I can probably play this quite a bit before/after work.

I know where the new one is as well!!! Need to grab my bike back from my buddy's house and I'll be in this weekend I hope.

I fixed the post so my first pic you can see the structure. At first I messed up the image and it was just a link.

Yup I know where that is....had a few good times with ex-gf's there in highschool .
