Has gotten the best of me. I just bought one bird from the tomato's flock of hawks. It needs some love and some parts, but will make a nice beginner bike for my chick.
This is the before pictures
Garage is a bit full of crap and needs a good cleaning
Hope to look something like this when done.
This one has the monster seat and f2 tank. I got the f2 tank and the seat is some where traveling across the US

If you want to go back to a stock rear wheel I might be able to help with a stock Hawk eccentric.

I thought you might have meant that there's a new strain of Flu going around...I.E. "Hawk Flu". I've had this flu that i can't seem to get rid of, keeps coming back and I said to myself..."Hmmm, this must be some sort of new strain because I don't ever remember having any sort of flu quite like this".

You suck at life. Why don't you quit?
My dad told me I could be anything I wanted when I grew up. So I became an Asshole.
they were sold but john told the buyer that he couldn't find them
John awesome you made short work of the tank mount ..... the hawkgt forum has the goods to get you where you want to be
Yeah DOC .... this was gonna be my ptwins entry but is now in other hands to make that happen :hint::nudge: John this is also a good beginner race bike
btw I am pretty sure that is a F3 front end as it has the adjustable comp and rebound.

Oh yes F3 front. I miss typed.
I have a stock Hawk tank... whoops too late for that.
As for the rear wheel. The VFR rear rim mod is for looks. It is heavier and makes the bike less flickable.

Got the headlight fabbed up, and the mirrors on. The headlight It stuck out to far.
So I chopped it down a bit. Waiting for the paint to dry, but here is the closer bracket.
My help.

imo the headlight is too high and sticks out too far...
John lookin GOOD .... I am soo glad it is being fondeled and brought back to life. LMK if there is anything else you think I might have that you need.
p.s. I'm sure it's tough to tell how high it should be as he doesn't have the seat ... yet

Yeah it did stick out to far. I pulled it in another 6mm.
As for to high up, I'm still in debate. Where it's at appears like it will give a small buffering of wind at high speeds. Still a work in progress and will be re done a million times I'm sure.
Hehahehaheha you said foundeled hehaheha
I am gonna need some pods with that tank, so if ya have any kicking around.
Oh and a bill of sale might help at the registry![]()

Got the head light to where I want it. Seems a bit high, but the plate I added is going to be nice for accessories and hides all the wires pretty good.
Gauge tucks in nicely and leaves me plenty of room for switches and idiot lights.

New update. Monster seat and tail light fitted.
The tail is still ugly. But that is just the quick and dirty way to get it set to make sure it works.
New gas cap, since it was just covered with tape before.
Close up of the speedo set up. I used velcro for the sensor. The magnet had threads and was easily swapped out with a rotor bolt!

Thanks. I hooked it up to the stock wire already...then read that it might need to be a shielded wire from a plug. If I need to, or better yet when I need to, how would I go a bout wrapping the plug? Since the is a boot and all that cover the connection?
