RC51 Passenger Peg / High Mount solution?

Well if you have an RC AND a wife or riding partner you have probably considered the evils of most High Mount pipes. Since the Satos have no passenger peg provisions I have put thought into the problem. Some have come up with very nice and often expensive milled aluminum solutions. I have been eyeballing my bike with a thought in my head for a while so I popped the tail off and took a look tonight. It seems to me, if I reverse the peg brackets and use them on opposite sides of the bike (left passenger peg on right side of bike...you get the idea) I can just get longer bolts to hold the exhaust hanger and peg assemblies without any significant clearance issues at all. Worst case scenario I may have to notch the plastic underneath a little to compensate for the extra width of the assembly. Am I missing something here or could this be a potential solution for the cost of a couple bolts!!?? I'll have to see how the shoe clearance is before recommending it to anyone else but so far I think we can live with this. Mothers Mag and Aluminum polish seems to take shoe scuffs off my titanium pipes quite nicely anyway. If you see a major flaw in my logic please let me know before I try it.

RC51 Passenger Peg / High Mount solution?

When are you going to learn on a RC-51 you don't carry other people on the back not even your wife. Buy yourself an older Harley or something don't start screwing around with backwards footpegs.
Now I know why I haven't called you in a while to go riding you have lost your mind. Next thing you know you will be on Junkyard Wars trying to turn your RC-51 into a pooper scooper.

RC51 Passenger Peg / High Mount solution?

My solution was to buy a TL-R, and do the A-typical TL-R fixes (low budget stuff). Wish I had some better input for ya, Gunther. But I've only had 1 cup of coffee and I can't figure out what the hell you're talking about....

Hey Scott you don't even have the high mount Sato's? Can't you just take off the wire hangers they gave you and make the stock rear sets work some how.
Or you can always have Mike try and fix it, but who knows what would be fucked up then. What's the latest with your triple tree?
